The old, monovalent booster is no longer available, the CDC said. it authorized the Moderna vaccine for those 18 and older. The CDC authorized Pfizer and BioNTech’s booster for those age 12 and up. Some experts say people should wait longer to get the booster, particularly if they recently had COVID-19. The CDC said the new booster, which is free, is for people who got their last dose at least two months ago.
